Planners:Nicole Pavlovsky and Yonatan Vronsky 6:00 PM -6:30 PM: El Al and SiWi meet and have a short mixer (stand in a circle and say each other’s name, grade, school, and favorite color) 6:30 PM-7:00 PM: Get rides and arrive at Julian's house and do a mixer (pair up a boy and a girl and have them get to know each other a little bit. Then the boy presents the girl and the girl presents the boy.) 7:00 PM-8:00 PM: Dinner. Israeli food was catered to us from the Flying Falafel Ball 8:00 PM-8:30 PM: Havdallah 8:30 PM-9:15 PM: Makeover each other and present (use the same pairs as for the mixers. The boy/girl pair is a “couple” going to a “Black and White Ball” and they have to design clothes for each other using black and white trash bags. Then each couple presented each other) 9:15 PM-9:45 PM: Comedy Sportz challenge for geeks (geeks have to prepare and perform an improv show and involve girls as well in their presentation) and Rap challenge for beauties (the girls have to rewrite the words to “I Kissed A Girl” by Katy Perry to something nerdy like “I Kissed A Nerd” or “I Am A Nerd”, etc.). 20 minutes to prepare, and 5 minutes to present. Give extra time if needed and if you have time for it. 9:45 PM-10:15 PM: The geeks get a hair make over. The girls give the geeks new hair-dos with hair gel. 10:15 PM-10:45 PM: Partner trivia/questionnaire. Geeks respond to how they think the beauties would answer and the beauties respond to how they think the geeks would answer. 10:45- End: Just hang out until everyone gets picked up
S'ganit's Notes: 1. The gel was supposed to used at the same time as the makeover, but we forgot about the gel, so we replaced the commercial program with the hair-dos program. (Geeks make a commercial for Victoria’s Secret Body Mist (or any other beauty product) and beauties make a commercial for a math compass. 10 minutes to prepare, and 30 seconds to present for each commercial.)
2. There were A LOT of people. There were around 45 people, all in one house, so most of our programming was outside. For the challenges, we split the people up into two groups so there would be more space to move around.
3. Encourage people to dress up! Tell the girls to dress up geeky, and the guys to dress up really nice (beautifully)!
