DOcome to an event ready BEFORE with a complete outline filled with times of programs, and descriptions of programs. DOtry to get as many of the 6 BBG folds as you can into every single event. DOthink about who your event audience is. DOconsider energy levels at your event. DOfind a creative segway into a more serious program from a high-energy fun program and vice-versa. DOplan events 2 weeks before the day of the actual event. DO keep track of all of your expenses for the event. DOlead programs with enthusiasm and energy, so that girls will be excited to participate in almost anything! DOask the chapter S'ganit to look over your outline and give you suggestions. She knows what she's doing :) |
DO NOTexpect girls to come on time.
DO NOTexpect girls to always bring the full amount of money that's written on the e-mails. DO NOTexpect girls to RSVP to you on time. DO NOT expect girls to participate in all of your programming, all of the time. DO NOTexpect girls to participate in all discussions. DO NOTplan events last minute! DO NOT lose your receipts that you got from buying event supplies! DO NOTyell at girls for not participating in programs, just give them a nudge. DO NOTtake it personally that some girls don't participate in your programming. DO NOTover-complexify things, keep it simple and keep it realistic! DO NOTover-use any program, unless it is a tradition, which means you shouldn't use it often anyway! |
